It began with an old dust-covered box, found in a loft. Inside were handwritten letters and original photographs—quiet, personal moments shared between Albert and Nanny Diz.

Letters from father to daughter, and images of her at a Singer sewing machine, paid for over time by Albert so she could continue her craft. Small, thoughtful acts that reflect a quiet kind of care and devotion.

Albert, a decorated Company Sergeant Major based in Edinburgh, met Diz by chance in the Cotswolds in the 1940s.

Their meeting brought together two places—Scotland and the Cotswolds—shaping the generations that followed. We think of this as The Cotswold Edit: a family line formed through their story, rooted in the romance and charm of cosy Cotswold villages.

The original letters and photographs became “Letters from the Cotswolds” and sit alongside our pop up exhibits & boutiques alongside the collections- for young and old to enjoy, and feel something beautiful, an honest reflection of a life before constant noise, where love was written by hand and connection was simple and real.

That sense of old-fashioned romance and quiet tradition is what we choose to carry forward.

Our collections are guided by feeling. Inspired by simple, old-fashioned walks in nature, memory, and everyday escape—whether a waterfall walk, an orchard or time spent in a cosy Cotswold village—it’s never about us. It’s about you, and how you feel.

We don’t define who people should be. Instead, we create space for individuality—because everyone brings their own story to what they wear.

Above all, it’s about how something makes you feel. If a piece can carry even a small sense of that connection, that simplicity, or that romance into someone’s day, then we’ve done what we set out to do.

It’s not about the past—but some things, are worth carrying forward. ‎
